I feel like when I start reading a new blog, I search for every way to get to know the blogger. I want to know more about their life. I want to know why they write. So I decided that since I want that from other bloggers, I'm going to provide that to everyone else.
I suppose the things that sum me up right now are God, tattoos, music, coffee, & school. These are the things that make me up. These are the things that are most important to me at the moment, & are the things that consume me.
Of course, my family & my friends are an incredibly important part of my life right now as well, but I felt that they deserved a page of their own. I will cover those lovely people on another page.
God is my rock. He is my Father, my Daddy, my Abba, my Yahweh. He is my everything. I don't have the perfect relationship with Him, though I wish I did. I have to work on being a Christian every day. My life is *far* from perfect. But I do my best to seek Him every day. I do my best to let my life revolve around Him. My path is focused on what I feel like He is calling me to do. I don't always get it right. I stray from this right path. He always stays by my side through my mistakes, though, & I am so thankful for that.
I love tattoos. I love ink. I love seeing artwork on other's skin. I have four tattoos right now, & I plan on getting many more. I think that tattoos are a way of expressing yourself. I think that they open up the world of the person to other people. When I look at tattoos, I see a new way to learn about the person I'm with. They tell a story. All of my tattoos tell a story about me. They all mean something different, & I know that I will never come to regret any of them. If you want to know more about my tattoos, just ask me about them!
Music is something that has been an incredible tool for my life since I was little. I sing, play guitar, & play piano. I'm not the best, but I know that God has given me talent in this area. I taught myself how to play guitar, but a man by the name of Sam Lowry taught me everything I know about playing piano. Sam made a huge difference in my life, & I owe him credit for where I am in life. Sam gets his own place in the line of my story, though, so you will see more of him later.
I have been a youth band leader & now I help lead worship at my church, St. John United Methodist Church in Eagelton on East Broadway. Leading worship is one of the things that God has called me to do. I believe this with every fiber of my being. He opens up so many beautiful places when I begin to worship Him, & He's given me the tools to praise His name & bring others to Him through worship, so I do my duty to my Daddy by singing His praises. I love every bit of it!
Coffee. Coffee, coffee coffee!! I am *not* a morning person...but God called me to be a teacher. So coffee & I are good friends. I cannot stand black coffee, but boy do I love making some delicious coffee with yummy creamers & sugar!! My weakness is chai tea, though. I would take chai tea over any kind of coffee any day. Needless to say, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, & my local coffee shop, Vienna Coffee House, are my homes away from home.
Lastly? School. I'm a junior in college....so crazy. It really feels like I just graduated from high school yesterday. I don't feel like I'm already a junior in college. I don't feel like I'm 21. I don't feel like I'm really only two years away from getting a big girl job. It feels surreal. But I love every bit of it. I love school. I am one of those weird kids that enjoys school & homework & the routine. Now that I've started the real classes that will truly prepare me for being a teacher, I love it that much more. I'm in school to become an elementary education teacher, more specifically, an elementary special education teacher. God does some crazy things in your life when you let Him. God gave me the opportunity to work with many kids in my life that have a range of "disabilities", & there is something so wonderful & rewarding about working with these kids. So I'm really excited for everything I will be doing in school the next two years.

I love to cook & love to eat even more. I workout so I can eat all that I want, & I "bless your heart" on a daily basis. I love cartoons & children's movies, & I am frequently caught reading children's literature. I have a soft spot for animals, & I just rescued my first dog. I want to help the homeless as often as I can, & I really want to help make a difference in this world. I want to be a driving force in ending modern day slavery. I want to shine God's love over all the people in this world.
